Building Belonging Week

October 16-20 was Building Belonging Week at Sheridan! This was a week of coming together as a Sheridan community to build a stronger sense of belonging through intentional acts of kindness.
We had a wonderful time spreading and observing kindness throughout the community! Students wrote cards to each other, staff and faculty, and neighbors. Students also made efforts to sit with new people at lunch and went home every day with "dinner table discussion prompts" to encourage conversations about kindness at home. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped out. Although Building Belonging Week is only a week long, it is important to be kind all year long! At Sheridan, we believe that everyone deserves to feel comfortable and experience joy.
