Inclusive Tuition

Even our tuition is inclusive.

As our mission states, we strive to create an inclusive, vibrant learning community. That means we have carefully crafted our tuition model to ensure that we create a culture of belonging. While many schools have additional fees on top of tuition – meals, uniforms, field trips, technology, and more – at Sheridan, every aspect of our programming can be accessible to all.
Daily lunch and snack: Our meals service, provided by Meriweather Godsey, is nourishing and delicious. And it’s inclusive, too – there is always a vegetarian option, plus a sandwich and salad bar. Our amazing chefs are happy to work with young people who have dietary restrictions (medical, religious, or other).

Complimentary morning care: Whether you regularly need to drop your child off before our usual arrival time of 8:15 am, or just need occasional support to make it to an early meeting or appointment, we’ve got you. Our doors open at 7:45 am every day for morning care.

All books, electronics, and learning supplies: From pencils to chromebooks, we provide everything!

Interscholastic athletics and theater: We want to make sure that all our middle school students can explore their extracurricular interests, so all aspects of participation are covered – coaching, transportation, uniforms, costumes, and more.

Experiential education opportunities are a cornerstone of our program and are all included in tuition at both our City Campus and Mountain Campus!
  • NEW THIS YEAR: In 2025, our Eighth Grade will experience our inaugural capstone trip, which this year will be to Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama and will make our social justice learning come to life.
  • There is no additional charge for multi-day trips to our wonderful Mountain Campus in Luray, Virginia and expedition trips like horseback riding, rock climbing, ropes adventures, caving, kayaking, and more.
  • All costs are covered for our unique Middle School Minimester and Lower School Discovery Days, which take our students out into the city and bring field experts to us as we take a deep dive into special topics exploring the diverse culture, art, history, music, and more that our city has to offer.
For families receiving financial aid support, inclusive financial support goes even further. Read about our financial aid support here
