General K-8 Substitute Teacher
Sheridan School, an independent K-8 school in Washington, D.C., is seeking substitute teachers for the 2023-2024 school year.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to maintain a safe, respectful learning environment by adapting to the established curriculum and classroom routines. Candidates should have a related degree, classroom experience, and/or related experience with elementary or middle school-aged children and be interested in working in a wide variety of grades and subject areas.

The individual who fill these roles will:
- Demonstrate reliability and dependability, be punctual and take initiative
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain a high level of professionalism
- Create an environment that ensures equitable and respectful care and support for students with diverse beliefs and practices and varied backgrounds
- Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a proven ability to establish supportive relationships with all school constituencies.
